1) For any support issues, as a first step, please email : support@qriscloud.org.au

Or go through the portal at https://www.qriscloud.org.au/

Inform them of the type of issues you are experiencing and request them to look into it.

Emails sent to this address are handled through zendesk system. Alternatively, customers are encouraged to register with https://qriscloud.zendesk.com so that jobs can be logged and the progress of their jobs viewed.

Requests for new NeCTAR allocations should still go through the NeCTAR Dashboard .
Users with NeCTAR issues, however, e.g. VM can’t connect to storage, VM not responding, should use the qris-support@qcif.edu.au email address to report the issue

Special Message from Rob Cook with regards to QRIScloud Stage 2

As valued users of QRIScloud and people who have applied for usage I'd like to take this opportunity to update you on the status of our services. QRIScloud is proving very popular and QCIF is working hard to expand capacity to meet the rapid growth in demand, both in terms of data storage volume and compute cores.

The upcoming expansion, via a project called 'QRIScloud Stage 2', will add more than 4000 cores to the compute cloud and another petabyte of data storage. These expanded resources are already installed and were due to be available by the end of March. Unfortunately, as is often the case with leading-edge facilities, last-minute issues have delayed the acceptance of new equipment and the completion of network connections at the newly established Polaris data centre in Springfield.

QCIF regrets any difficulties that these delays might cause to our research communities. We will provide more information and the dates when these improved services will be available as soon as we are able.

Feel free to contact your local eResearch Analyst<http://www.qcif.edu.au/index.php/contact> to discuss the options available to manage your computing requirements in the interim, or myself for more information.

Regards

Rob Cook
CEO, QCIF
