Introduction

Here are two of many tools available to mount sftp connections as windows mapped drive. The first one is sftp net drive and the second one is swish.

sftp net drive free

‘SFTP Net Drive Free’ will install drivers on your system that enable mounting FTP/SFTP as a local drive. It is very simple to use: all you have to do is enter your server and authentication info and it will log in and mount the remote server as local drive.

The pro version adds support for advanced features, but the free version is fully functional.

swish

Download swish from : http://www.swish-sftp.org/

Swish is a Windows Explorer extension so you don't need to open a separate program to use it:

Open Computer. Double-click on the Swish icon. Click the Add SFTP Connection button.

Complete the details in the dialogue (To find your home Path ssh to your Cloud VM and type pwd.) and click OK. You should see a new connection appear in the Explorer Window which you can double-click to access.
