Gowonda HPC cluster

System Overview

Griffith Gowonda HPC provides computational resources and storage for Griffith Researchers. HPC system is a 26.63 TFLOPS SGI Cluster. It is a heterogeneous cluster with 62 nodes (928 cpu cores) in different configurations. Each node contains 2 Intel Xeon E5 or X5 processors (6/8/12 cores per cpu) and different memory configurations (from 1GB to 16GB per cpu core, or 12GB to 256GB per node). There are also 8 Tesla 2070 gpu cards two Intel Xeon Phi 5120D cards in the cluster. It is managed by the eResearch Services unit in Information Services. Gowonda was funded by a grant from the Queensland Cyber Infrastructure Foundation (QCIF) and the University Electronic Infrastructure Capital Fund.
